Image of VALIANT undersail, starboard bow view on a mild port tack, deck visible with crew working or seated. VALIANT was an 80'9" sloop designed by Burgess, Rigg & Morgan, Ltd. and built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 1928 for Winthrop W. Aldrich of New York. She was altered to an auxiliary yawl in 1937 by William T. Aldrich with the keel recast and a centerboard added. Stamped neg. sleeve info.: "149898F / FLORIDA-1956 / [Box] 5486".
