Image of DUNGENESS, a 119'8" steam yacht built in 1894 by Maryland Steel Company of Sparrow's Point, Maryland from designs by George B. Mallory. Owned by Lucy Carnegie, widow of Thomas M. Carnegie and sister-in-law of philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. "The Dungeness" was the name of the winter home of the Carnegie's on Cumberland Island, Georgia. Handwritten neg. sleeve info.: "Dungeness / Y-80 / Box 8". Handwritten on negative margin in black ink upper right edge emulsion side: "Aug. 6 94".
