VALIANT was a 332' steam brigantine yacht built in 1893 by Laird Brothers of Birkenhead, England and designed by St. Clair J. Byrne. She was owned by William Kissam Vanderbilt from 1893 to 1909. Handwritten neg. sleeve info.: "VALIANT / Y322 / Steam Yacht / Box 33 / 8 x 10 ?". Typed on paper strip glued to surface edge: "416 / 3".
