Partial view of INTREPID, #US22, in the foreground hauled out on a cradle, starboard side aft with keel showing, with either COLUMBIA, #US16, or CONSTELLATION, #US20, behind at the Newport Shipyard, Rhode Island. INTREPID, US #22, 12 meter, was designed by Olin Stephens and built by Minneford Yacht Yard of City Island, New York. Designer Olin Stephens, plus a new design added by Dick Carter of Boston added on a flap on the trailing edge of a shortened keel for stability. Stamped neg. sleeve envelope: "184276 / TRIALS 1967".
