4x5 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons during the time of the Washington Regatta held on the Potomac River in Maryland from September 27th to the 29th in 1940. Image is a posed closeup of the aft section of MY SIN showing the driver, Zalmond G. Simmons, his mechanic seated, and a good view of the engines in front of them without the engine hatches covering them. MY SIN, later renamed as TEMPO VI, was a 30' hydroplane assembled by Zalmond G. Simmons from a Ventnor Boat Company hull with a Miller 16-cylinder engine built from designs by Arno A. Apel in 1938. Stamped neg. sleeve info.: "99003F / WASHINGTON 1940 / [Box] 4645".
