Several spectator vessels seen in background including steam yachts, three sidewheel steamers, a lighter, and several tugs. (Note: some prints from this negative these spectators are cropped out). Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "B 918 / Finish Final Race Oct 4, 1901 / Columbia / Shamrock II". Crew members seen climbing out on bowsprit as COLUMBIA crosses the finish.
