Close up view of a woman telephone operator at her switchboard, with headset, October 11, 1917. This image was taken at the telephone exchange on Rhinelander Street, Bronx, New York (Rhinelander telephone exchange). The operator is wearing a white blouse and dark skirt with her long hair tied loosely back. Image focus is soft, especially in lower half.
