7x5 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons at the launching of the new 126'7" J Class sloop, RAINBOW, on May 14, 1934 at Herreshoff's of Bristol, Rhode Island (DS: Burgess: BU: Herreshoff, 1934). Image of a long dock and at the end of the dock is RAINBOW resting in the water after being launched, starboard beam view with a few workmen on board. On the dock leading from the workshed to the J boat, is her mast with many people examining it. This image was taken from upstairs in the workshed looking down at the dock to get a good view of the length of the mast. Typed neg. sleeve info.: "67326-F / 5/14/34 / Rainbow launching".
