To the left of the oil drilling rig is a long wooden shack for equipment storage and to left of that is a smaller building. Image is part of a series of photographs taken for or about Empire Refineries, Inc. owner of oil fields, refineries and railroad cars for oil transportation. Empire Refineries, Inc. also had places in Independence, Kansas and Ponca, Okmulgee, Oklahoma City and Cushing, Oklahoma and was a subsidiary of Cities Service Company.
