Nevins yard spar shop. VANITIE was a 118' cutter with designed by William Gardner & Company and built by George Lawley & Son Corporation in 1914 for Alexander Smith Cochran. She was rerigged as Marconi sloop in 1928 by W. Starling Burgess and owned at that time by Harry Payne Whitney.
