4x5 in. nitrate negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons at the President's Cup Regatta, Washington, DC, September, 1946 on the Potomac River. View of the racer, SO-LONG, #10-G, underway, port bow view and in the distant background is a very large crowd of spectators lining the river front, trees behind them. SO-LONG, built in 1939, original hull racing number was #10-G, was a 23'6" Gold Cup hydroplane, built and designed by Ventnor Boat Works, Ventnor, New Jersey. It was to have been a west coast boat which is why the number is 10-G and not G-10. She was one of several hydros of this name. Owner Lou Fageol was also her driver. Cantrell was her driver in 1946 and he raced her during the President's Cup Races. Stamped info.: "115247F / WASHINGTON / 1946 / [Box] 4918." Handwritten: "So Long 10-G".
