Sliver gelatin print taken by Morris Rosenfeld. Posed view of Clayton Morrissey and Thomas F. McManus aboard the fishing schooner HENRY FORD. Vessel is docked in Gloucester, MA on October 21, 1922. Clayton Morrissey specialized in the salt-cod fishery with several vessels, including Thomas McManus's ARETHUSA and HENRY FORD. He was the captain of the HENRY FORD during the International Fishermen's Races, Oct. 1922 against BLUENOSE. Both vessels disqualified. Tom F. McManus designed approximately 450 fishing schooners from c.1892-c.1925. He was the designer of HENRY FORD, which was built by Marion J. Cooney in Essex, MA 1922.
