Image of MISTRESS, undersail in a brisk wind with whitecaps on the waves, port quarter view, close-hauled on a starboard tack. MISTRESS was a 60'6" schooner built in 1930 to the rules of the New York Yacht Club from designs by Henry J. Gielow, Inc. and built by Eastern Shipbuilding Corporation of Shelburne, Nova Scotia, Canada. In 1962 she was still owned by her original owner Geroge E. Roosevelt.
