5 x 7 glass plate negative photographed by Morris Rosenfeld in Manhasset Bay, NY, 1915. View of Count Casimir Mankowski sitting on the bow of his hydroplane ANKLE DEEP TOO. ANKLE DEEP TOO was built and designed by Chase, Tams, Lemoine & Crane in 1915. She hit a rock two weeks before the Gold Cup race 1915 and still had problems during the trials. Mankowski was a Polish count who married an American woman from New York. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "Aug 1915 / Gold Cup Races / Box 16 / Count Mankowski".
