6x8 glass negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons in 1912. Image of the motor boat EMPIRE, temporary racing number #6, underway, starboard bow view. EMPIRE was a 34'4" cruiser with a trunk cabin forward and was powered by a four cylinder Van Blerck gas engine. EMPIRE was owned in 1912 by E.F. Luckenbach and was reported in newspapers and magazines as having participated in 3-4 races that year. Handwritten neg. sleeve info.: "M.B. Empire."
