6 x 8 in. glass negative photographed by Morris Rosenfeld circa 1912. Image of the vessel, sail #NY3, undersail, showing a port beam view. LIVELY was a 40' New York Yacht Club sloop, sail #NY3, built in 1902 by Holmes Shipbuilding Company of Mystic, Connecticut from designs by Charles Frances Herreshoff. Later names were: ROSE, QUINSIGAMOND, OKEE II and HUNTRESS. Other vessels are also visible undersail: a partial port beam view of #NY17, a starboard beam view of Star Class sloop #9, and a port view of a partially obscured Sound Schooner Class with sail #SS3. Information written on the original negative sleeve: "Yacht / NY 3 / plate #77 / Box 7".
