5 x 7 glass plate negative taken by Morris Rosenfeld in August, 1915. Medium, centered shot of Mr. and Mrs. J. Stewart Blackton standing on the deck of an unidentified vessel. Mr. and Mrs. (Paula) Blackton were the international owners of Vitagraph Motion Picture Co. They owned a motion picture studio at Oyster Bay, Long Island. Mr. Blackton was also Commodore of the Atlantic Yacht Club. Pictured here at the Gold Cup Races in Manhasset Bay, NY. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "Mr. & Mrs. Blackton." and "J. Stewart Blackton + wife Paula".
