VEMA was a 196'7" 3-masted schooner and was originally the 4th HUSSAR owned by Edward F. Hutton which was designed by Cox & Stevens and built by A.S. Burmeister & Wain of Copenhagen, Denmark in 1923. She was sold in 1932 and her name was changed to VEMA and her managing owner was George Unger Vetlessen. Stamped neg. sleeve info.: "60147F". Typed info.: "5/5/32 / (Hussar)".
