Visible in image: female telephone and telegraph operator sitting behind counter, rows of medicines and supplies on walls, row of telephone booths "1" to "5" in store with Bell Telephone symbols on glass doors, over her desk is a bell: "LOCAL / AND / LONG / DISTANCE / TELEPHONE" and sign for: "WESTERN UNION / TELEGRAPH / AND / CABLE OFFICE", sign on back wall reads: F.W. ...MAKER / LABORAT....SCRIPTION / DEP...MENT", obscured by hanging lamps, possibly not Rothman's, but Schoonmaker's Pharmacy. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "Rothman's Pharmacy. Tel. Co."
