Image is of a man, 2 women, 2 children and a baby in a carriage all sleeping, due to the heat, just outside the front door of an apartment building on the cement stairs. The man is wearing long johns under his pants. The women are wearing long ankle length skirts with aprons. The clothing is worn and torn and stained looking. Back of print info.: "Sleeping out in ......on hot nights, N.Y." Back of print says location is, "Cherry Street" which is in lower East Side, Manhattan, New York.
