6x8 glass negative photographed by Morris Rosenfeld in 1911 at Ladies' Day at the Larchmont Yacht Club, Larchmont, New York. Image is a long shot from the clubhouse looking down toward the water's edge and over the harbor where many different types of vessels are anchored or being rowed. One of the motor yachts is KESTREL, Caldwell's 107' screw steamer; other types of vessels are screw launches, a Naphtha launch, rowboats, canoes, etc. At the waterfront's edge are many men and ladies dressed in their best finery, some ladies with parasols or netting over their hats to protect them from the sun and some people are standing or seated. Written on the original negative sleeve: "L.Y.C. Ladies Day 1911 / View from Club House / 506 - Box 40". CREDIT LINE: Mystic Seaport, Rosenfeld Collection.
