6x8 glass negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons in 1911 off Larchmont Yacht Club on Long Island Sound, New York. View of two vessels racing showing a starboard beam view. In the foreground is the gaff-rigged sloop WINDWARD, P Class, sail #P64, and racing behind is CORINTHIAN, also a gaff-rigged P Class sloop, #P51. WINDWARD was built in 1909 by B. Frank Wood of City Island, New York from designs by William Gardner. CORINTHIAN was a 54'4" sloop built in 1911 by Herreshoff Manufacturing of Bristol, Rhode Island and designed by Nathanael Herreshoff. Handwritten neg. sleeve info.: "P64 / L.Y.C. 1911."
