6x8 glass negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons in 1912 during the time of the Larchmont Yacht Club races. Image is a long shot of the vessels ADVENTURESS and GARDENIA racing showing a port beam view on a port tack. ADVENTURESS sailed in the M Class with the sail number #M93 and was a 67'7" sloop built 1909 by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company of Bristol, Rhode Island from designs by Nathanael G. Herreshoff. GARDENIA was a 60' M Class cutter with the sail number #M20 and was built in 1906 by B.Frank Wood of City Island, New York from designs by William Gardner.
