New London Ledge Light (Conn.)

Lighthouses--Connecticut

aka, "Sarah's Ledge Light". Built 1909 on shoal 1 mile from the harbor entrance of Thames River, New London, CT. Architecture: French Empire.
Originally named Southwest Ledge; name changed to New London Ledge Light to avoid confusion with Southwest Ledge Light in New Haven harbor.
