Full model of medium clipper ship GLORY OF THE SEAS by Frederick Pease Harlow, who had, as a child, played in her hull before launching in E. Boston in 1869. The masts, yards, and decking are made from wood from the salvaged stateroom door, and the anchors are made from copper spikes from the original vessel. Hull painted black topsides, gold-green bottom, blue hatch coamings and waterways. Details include American ensign, white figurehead of Athena, 4 boats, including one on davits with oars, anchors, winch. Scale 1/8"=1'.
