Builder's presentation ship model of Farrell Line's container ship AUSTRAL PIONEER. Solid hull construction with black painted topsides, dual load waterline painted in two tones of red, and white above the sheer line. The model is detailed with anchors, bollards, containers on deck bents, ladders, deck rails, the funnell painted in Farrell Lines liver, masts, flag halyards, life boate, radar, propeller, rudder, draft markings. Brass plaque in case reads: "AUSTRAL PIONEER/ C8-S-85D/ Length: 813'-03" Depth: 53'-o" Breadth: 90'-0" Dead Weight: 27,706 tons./ Built in 1979 by Bethlehem Steel Corp., Sparrows Point, Md."
