Chief's wooden ceremonial walking stick from Sierra Leone, West Africa. Carved in the shape of a fish swallowing a snake, the snake's body forms a loop which is the handle of the cane. Said to be a symbol of leadership from the Shebro area of southern coastal Sierra Leone.
