The sort of boats used in these regattas were state-of-the-art. The races started and finished on the shores of Palm Beach island and West Palm Beach. The Commodore of the Club always started the race with a bang. The thrill of participating encouraged many to race for the joy of attaining the Bradley Gold Challenge Cup which was set aside for only one.
