Gelatin silver print by Morris Rosenfeld. Port bow view of the fishing schooner (yacht) MAYFLOWER undersail. Vessel seen at the Gloucester Races October 21, 1922. MAYFLOWER was designed by Starling W. Burgess and built by The James Yard in Essex, MA 1921. She was a very fast fishing schooner and the international racing committee disqualified her, saying she was too "yachty", after she won the International Fishermen's Race trials in October, 1921. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "Cloucester Races/ Mayflower". See original negative 1984.187.9192F.
