5 x 7 Kodak safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons at the Bermuda Races in 1928. Image of 58' Hodgdon Brothers schooner MALABAR IX (built 1928 in East Boothbay, ME). Visible in image: starboard quarter view of the schooner on port close reach tack with gaff-rigged mainsail, topsail, foresail, fisherman's staysail, club-footed forestaysail, and jib raised, crew aft, dingy stored upside down on deck. MALABAR IX was a John G. Alden design and was registered in Boston, MA in 1928 and later in Marblehead (1929-).
