MALABAR X was built in 1930 as an auxiliary schooner. She was designed by John G. Alden, and built by Hodgdon Brothers in East Boothbay, ME. She measured 58' in length and carried a Falcon 4 cycle, 4 cylinder engine. She was registered in Boston, MA.
