Image taken as part of long term commissioned work and documentation for the American Telephone & Telegraph Company, ranging from 1910 through the 1940s. View of the window display at C. Wintermeyer sausage shop, New York City, seen in 1912 or 1913. Display features garnished pig heads, hand held telephones, sausage links, and lard containers. A large hand drawn sign in window reads: "FROM PIG (to) PORK TO SAUSAGE". A printed sign on window reads: "We Receive Over / 200 / Telephone Orders Daily / Why Not Yours?". Other window signs read: "FRESH POULTRY / OF COURSE! / Special Attention given to TELEPHONE Orders", and "Delicious / Prime Rib Roast / Your TELEPHONE Order / will have / Most Careful Attention".
