Image taken as part of long term commissioned work and documentation for the American Telephone & Telegraph Company, ranging from 1910 through the 1940s. View of a telephone lineman repairing lines atop a pole. Lineman seen wearing a cap, bow tie, white shirt, trousers, boots, and, large gloves. Large Victorian style homes seen in surrounding neighborhood, two wagons seen to the center right. This area has not been identified, street signs cannot be read on the original negative. Area is either New York or New Jersey, 1915 to 1916. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "3116 / Telephone Co / Plant Dept / Mr. Lynch Lecture / Box 244".
