Sheet music, "The Tempest", ballad. Poetry by James T. Fields (1817-1881). Music by Nathan Barker. Published Boston by Oliver Ditson, 1849. Dedicated to Capt. C. H. E. Judkins, of the steamer HIBERNIA. Cover in various scrolls and typefaces, stained. Handwritten at top in pencil "Dup/ E.F.W." and "reissue of BAL 5928". 4 pages. Judkins was commodore of the Cunard Line and as master of the CAMBRIA of Glasgow in 1846 he arranged to have Frederick Douglass given an abolitionist lecture on board, and afterwards he commanded the HIBERNIA.
