Standard Oysters is a Subsidiary of The Andrew Radel Oyster Company. According to Oystering from New York to Boston by John M. Kochiss, The Andrew Radel Oyster Company was one three leading oystermen of Connecticut and owned the most cultivated fround anywhere. Each of the three owned about 11,000 acres.
