Image taken as part of long term commissioned work and documentation for the American Telephone & Telegraph Company, ranging from 1910 through the 1940s. View of telephone poles stretching across a flooded plain, probably in Nevada, circa 1915. Mountain peaks seen on the horizon. Original photographer unknown. This print was made from a copy negative, made by Rosenfeld in 1915 or 1916. The area is identified as Nevada based on a similar image identified in the book, ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL, page 241 (1984.187.2790). CREDIT LINE: Mystic Seaport, Rosenfeld Collection.
