Image of 63' Sparkman & Stephens designed, Minneford Yacht Yard built 12 class sloop FREEDOM (built 1979 in City Island, NY) and 63.5' Johan Valentijn designed, Newport Offshore built 12 meter class sloop LIBERTY (built 1983 in Newport, RI) on a sail drill. Visible in image: port quarter views of LIBERTY (US-30) and FREEDOM (12) on port close reach under marconi-rigged mainsails, genoas and spinnakers.
