5x7 glass plate negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons ca. 1917. Photographed in front of a New York Public Library which has a huge eagle sitting on a ball of the world in front of it in New York City, New York at the time the United States was in World War I. View from street level of a line of Red Cross workers all carrying flags parading past a public library built in 1902. Spectators in front of library contain many military men in uniform and also one man at street level in a Union uniform from the Civil War. Banner in back of workers says, "AMERICAN RED CROSS".
