Shaffer, Eastern Sales Manager, at a luncheon for over 300 yacht club members in the Bier Stube room at the Ruppert Brewery, Old Yorkville, Manhattan, New York. The birthday proclamation to George E. Ruppert was on the occasion of his 64th birthday from the Knickerbocker Club of New York of which Mr. Ruppert was a lifelong member. In the background is an elaborately carved fireplace mantle set into a wood panelled room.
