Image of a New York 30' Class start (L-R): ALERA, #NY1, COUNTESS, #NY4, ORIOLE, #NY11, NAUTILUS, #NY16, MINX, #NY12, BANZAI, #NY15, CAROLITA, #NY8 and in the distant background all the way to the right is HERON, a 6 Meter, sail #22. All the vessels were New York 30' Class sloops except for the 6 Meter. The New York 30' Class sloops were all approximately 43'6" and built in 1905 by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company of Bristol, Rhode Island from designs by Nathanael G. Herreshoff.
