Cased tintype; portrait of Mary Ann Squires (Latham), brooch, buttons and earring painted in gold, slight tinting of cheeks, hands and sleeves; handwritten on back "MARY ANN/ SQUIRES"; gold colored (brass?) cut-out metal mat, worn covered wood and glass frame with gold tooling on front, clasp hook (?) at top. From 1861-1917 papers of Lorenzo L. B. Latham (captain, grocer, and resident of Sailor's Snug Harbor NY).
