Elevated view looking toward a waterfront dock with many people walking on and lining the dock. A barge named, CONVOY, with a boat crane on it to hall the racing vessels in and out is alongside. Advertisement on side of aft cabin, "MERRITT-CHAPMAN & SCOTT CORP. / 12 BATTERY PLACE, N.Y. / NEWPORT REGATTA / AUGUST 19TH & 20TH / ENTRY BLANK AT CLUB HOUSE". On the barge itself are two identified racers, MISS RICOCHET, #B150, on the left, and behind it is BABY GAR VIII. There are other speedboats but not identifiable.
