5x7 in. safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons at the 25th Gold Cup Regatta held August 6, 1927 at the Indian Harbor Yacht Club, Greenwich, Connecticut. Elevated view looking toward a waterfront dock with many people walking on and lining the dock. A barge named, CONVOY, with a boat crane on it to hall the racing vessels in and out is alongside. Advertisement on side of aft cabin, "MERRITT-CHAPMAN & SCOTT CORP. / 12 BATTERY PLACE, N.Y. / NEWPORT REGATTA / AUGUST 19TH & 20TH / ENTRY BLANK AT CLUB HOUSE". On the barge itself are two identified racers, MISS RICOCHET, #B150, on the left, and behind it is BABY GAR VIII. There are other speedboats but not identifiable.
