5x7 glass negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons. The submarine, N3, just out from the Groton Naval Base, photographed during the Yale-Harvard Races, June 23, 1922, in the Thames River, New London, Connecticut. The N3 was 147' designed and built by Electric Boat over the winter of 1916-1917. According to JANE'S FIGHTING SHIPS: 1919, she carried 1-3 AA gun, 4 torpedo tubes and 2 sets of Niseco Diesel engines. Typed neg. sleeve info.: "8055-F".
