LIGHT"; probably off Cape Porpoise, ME; printed on back "LIGHT HOUSE SERIES 1 TO 50/ GOAT ISLAND LIGHT./ Off the seacoast of Maine, on the/ northerly side of Cape Porgois (sic)/ Harbor. Has a fixed white oil light./ Height at low mean high water 38/ feet. Visible 12-1/2 miles. Established/ 1833 and rebuilt 1859. Handbell rung/ in answer to signals.
