Photograph; color photograph of survivors and rescuers of the TRUXTUN (built 1920) and POLLUX (built 1939) shipwrecks, St. Lawrence, 1988; group photo of survivors and rescuers; from Henry Strauss transcript in Sound Archives: "the first one, I think is the Mayor of St. Lawrence. These are most ... oh ... the women ... 4th from the left is the one who took the pictures, as an 18 year old girl, took the pictures of the wrecked POLLUX. The rest are a mixture of St. Lawrence and the POLLUX and TRUXTUN. I don't recognize any of the actual rescuers. But the women are some of the women who took us into their homes and put us into their beds with hot rocks."
