Mears (1829-1899) during his travels as a shipmaster; image of Scots' church in Melbourne, Australia, the first Presbyterian church in the state of Victoria, built in the Neo-Gothic style starting in 1841, but was rebuilt between 1871 and 1874 after it was demolished for fear the original tower and spire would collapse; printed on front "CAIRE'S PHOTOGRAPHS OF VICTORIA./ MELBOURNE SCENERY."; handwritten on front "Scotts Church".
