Mears (1829-1899) during his travels as a shipmaster; image of Robert Richard Randall Memorial Church, located at Sailors Snug Harbor in New Brighton, Staten Island, erected as a memorial to Robert Richard Randall (the founder of Sailors Snug Harbor), built entirely of white marble in the form of a Greek cross, and costing about $250,000 to construct; handwritten on back "Robert Richard Randall Memmoral Church/ and theater to the Right".
