Mears (1829-1899); photograph of Captain Mears, photograph housed in a velved covered case (resembling a book), with a locking hinge, as well as metalic decorations nailed onto the front; on the left interior side of the case is a stampet velvet insert; handwritten on small piece of paper attached to bottom of image "R.C. Mears".
