5x7 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons off Gloucester, Massachusetts in October of 1938 most likely just before the time of the International Fishermen's Races. BLUENOSE was a 143' Lunenberg Canadian built schooner fisherman and is seen in this image undersail, port beam view with many men onboard her deck on the port side. BLUENOSE was built in 1921 by G. A. Rhuland and designed by William J. Roue. She won the International Fishermen's Races of 1931 and 1938. Stamped neg. sleeve info.: "90379F / [Box] 4503." Handwritten info.: "Bluenose."
