Image of WEATHERLY, #US17 undersail, starboard abeam leeward view, port tack close hauled in a light breeze with crew working at various stations on deck. There are 2 unidentified 12 meter sloops sailing in the distance to the right. WEATHERLY, US #17, was a 69 ft. 12 meter sloop, designed by Philip L. Rhodes and built by Luders Marine Construction Company of Stamford, Connecticut in 1958 for Henry D. Mercer, Arnold D. Frese and Cornelius S. Walsh of New York, New York. In 1958 she was an America's Cup trial boat and her skipper was Arthur Knapp, Jr. Mount info. embossed: "Sep 1958". Processor's stamp: "MADE IN U.S.A. / (black) 2".
